Cup-Blankery
In 2009 The Cupcakery had a problem: legally, they could no longer be called The Cupcakery. So they changed their name to The Cupcake Corner. This radio spot announced the change.
In May 2010 the spot won an Advertising Association of Winnipeg (AAW) Signature Award. But besides earning industry recognition, the spot did something else: it solved a business problem, turning an unexpected name change into something positive. And that’s worth more than any award.
(Though, I really do like the award.)
